Baisakhi is a Hindu festival celebrated in the northern hemisphere, mostly in India and Nepal. It is believed to be one of the most important religious festivals in the world.
Introduction
It is a very significant holiday in India, and every Indian celebrates it with a lot of pleasure and happiness. This is the occasion when all of India’s farmers are overjoyed because they are going to get what they are due.
Farmers’ Country
India is a farmer’s nation, with a high level of seed and food cultivation and production. And the majority of Indians make a living from this kind of business; they are the ones that sell all of these goods on the market and earn thousands and crores, but when it comes to the farmer, he is still a poor man. Because they are uneducated, and the educated person reaps all of the benefits and profits that the farmer is entitled to.
Farmers’ Education
Farmers in India are not all highly educated; most are just averagely educated. They ensure that they are at least capable of writing their names and signing documents, but there are still just a few farmers in India who are highly educated and capable of running their own businesses.
The rest of the farmers are still working on someone else’s land since they are unaware of their efforts, and this is the advantage that the wealthy get, making the farmer poorer.
What exactly is Baisakhi?
First and foremost, I’d want to explain what Baisakhi is all about. Baisakhi is a support for your body to remain steady in front of anybody in Hinduism, and it has a similar significance in the lives of farmers. Baisakhi is the festival when the farmer cuts off his land to collect the harvest, and this is the time when the farmer gets his reward.
Well, being a farmer is not simple; many people believe that only the ignorant do this labor, but they forget that if the farmer does not work, how will we eat? So never believe that a farmer is uneducated; he is more educated than policemen or scientists because he understands how to produce the food that allows you to live in this world and gives you the energy to fight back.
India’s Food Production
As we all know, food production is the mainstay of the Indian economy, but apart from that, the Baisakhi Festival brings joy to all farmers and is the one time when they are not thinking about their hard labor.
Farmer is a person who works extremely hard all year, and Baisakhi is the one festival where the farmer believes he is the person who would fulfill all of his goals. The farmer’s goal is to see his whole farm adorned with the hard work he has put in during the year, and after he receives his reward, he returns to work hard for the next year.
