Srinivasa Ramanujan is a mathematical genius who was born in 1887. He had an extraordinary aptitude for mathematics and made many contributions to the field, including his famous “Ramsey Theory”.

Introduction:

On December 22, 1887, Srinivasa Ramanujan’s birthday is commemorated as National Mathematics Day. Ramanujan was born into a low-income household. They lacked the financial means to pursue their interests.

It is claimed that Ramanujan could have posed a mathematical problem in over 100 different ways. He became a global master in mathematics as a result of this specialization.

 

Childhood

  • Srinivasa Ramanujan is well renowned for the Circle Method, which he invented.
  • Srinivasa Ramanujan Institution, the government college where he failed while studying, was subsequently renamed after him.

Ramanujan never completed a college education. The number 1729 is recognized as Ramanujan’s number because of his accomplishments. ‘Ramanujan’s Life,’ a Tamil film based on his life, was released in 2014. Ramanujan was just 33 years old when he died.
